Montecito Estate - Arcady

Description
The champaign fountain in the upper garden at Arcady. The Garden Club of America arrived by train in Santa Barbara April 12, 1926 from the east coast. The ladies spent four rigorous days touring gardens in Montecito and Santa Barbara. On the third day of their tour they visited Arcady. At the lunch, hosted by George Owen Knapp, the ladies were presented with a seventy-six page book of plant identifications and photos titled "Arcady." The book cover is engraved Mrs. W. N. Duane.
