Peter Riedel Riding His Motorcycle
Description:
While working on various estates at one time Peter Riedel traveled from job to job on his motorcycle. "He customarily wore a yellow corduroy jacket over trousers that were tucked into calf-length boots. The wide front brim of his Stetson hat would flatten above his face as he streaked recklessly at high speed over the country roads. Thus Peter became known as the Yellow Peril and was carefully avoided by drivers and horses alike." Circa 1915. Edson Smith Photo Collection no. 2679
